Established in 2016, the Ross Cares Fund supports Associates who are struggling as the result of a qualifying disaster or personal hardship. We can all use a helping hand once in a while, and by donating to the Ross Cares Fund, you can provide that helping hand to other Associates facing a serious crisis.

Ways to Donate

Ross has partnered with E4E Relief, a public charity, to administer the Fund and accept donations. To the extent allowed, donations into the Fund are tax deductible and all grants awarded by the Fund are non-taxed grants to individuals. You can donate to the Ross Cares Fund via:

Credit Card

To make an online credit card donation, click on the button below. The link will lead you to a secure portal where you can choose to make a one-time donation by credit card. Please retain your receipt for tax purposes.

To contribute by personal check, make checks payable to the Ross Cares Fund and include ID#2975 in the memo line of your check.

Automatic deductions will repeat in equal installments each pay period. You can adjust the size of the donation at any time. The minimum payroll deduction per pay period is $1.

Donations to the Ross Cares Fund are tax deductible, however, donations are deducted from your paycheck after taxes. You will need to claim your tax deduction when you file your taxes.

Donations made through the methods listed on this web page, as well as new donations, may be eligible for a match from Ross through the Matching Gift Program. The Ross Matching Gift Program is available to all full-time Ross and dd’s DISCOUNTS Associates. Your donations to charities of your choice, including the Ross Cares Fund, can be matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $500 per calendar year.

For a new donation, search for “Ross Cares Fund” and click “Donate Now.” If you’d like to request a match for a donation you’ve already made, click “Request a Match.”

Contributing to the Ross Cares Fund FAQs

Yes, your donation to the Ross Cares Fund is tax-deductible provided that no goods or services were received in exchange for your donation. Please consult with your tax advisor for additional information. The Ross Cares Fund is a component fund of E4E Relief LLC, a 501(c)(3) Public Charity. Its tax identification is #87-3137387. Please see “How do I obtain proof of my contribution?” for additional information on donation acknowledgements.

All relief grants from the Ross Cares Fund go to Ross Associates or their families. However, donations may not be earmarked to help a specific Associate or Associates impacted by a particular disaster.

Grant determinations are based solely on eligibility and not on whether or not an Associate has donated to the Ross Cares Fund.

If you signed up for recurring donations via payroll, you can adjust the amount of the donation at any time. Review our payroll donation instructions for more information on adjusting recurring donations.

Payroll Donations

To substantiate your charitable contribution deduction, you should retain both:

  • A pay stub or other document furnished by your employer that shows the date and amount of contribution and
  • A contribution form (payroll deduction form) that shows the name of the organization, Ross Cares Fund, and states that the organization does not provide goods or services in return for any contribution made to it by payroll deduction. You should print this form while updating your contribution on the Benefits website. To access this form outside of the enrollment process, you can follow steps 1–8 in our payroll donation instructions.

Matching Gift Program Donations

For donations initiated on the Ross Matching Gift Program website, log into Ross.Benevity.org. On your profile page, click on “Giving” and then select “Donation Receipts.”
